This is Our Time
The tide has indeed turned in the past decade or so. Unimaginable peace treaties, diasporic Israelis returning back to their motherland, signs, wonders and the countless prayer, worship and evangelistic movements across the nations are pointing towards the one defining moment that all of creation is pining for – the second coming of the Lord.
“Wake up, it is time for My children to wake up, the alarm has been sounded, the call has been made. How many of you will say yes? Clovis, will you say yes?” I remember how the voice of God struck my heart and literally woke me up.
God then inspired a new anthem in my heart (this was how He always stirred my spirit). This is our time. Our time to stand up and be counted, to say yes and keep saying yes to Him. Will we take the Great Commission and the things that truly matter seriously?
“This Is Our Time (TIOT)” is the cry of my heart and my own personal declaration and covenant with God. TIOT is my confession and a rally for my generation. TIOT is the pledge I make when life’s uncertainties cloud my vision of His cross. TIOT is my statement of faith and availability. TIOT is a promise.
“Come have Your way, our hearts are open, one life to live, we’re living for You.”
What a statement this is and how blessed we would be if we could fulfil even a fraction of these words from TIOT’s chorus. Truth be told, we are actually holding on to so much of our wants and desires that it can sometimes be almost impossible to hear God’s voice, much less answer His call.
There is power when you declare life over dry bones and just as how Isaiah answered the Lord in Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV) with that fire and passion, TIOT’s bridge encapsulates that same emotion, desire and zeal.
“Here I am, here I am, send me. All I am, all my life, for Your glory”
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV)
This song is my journey of saying yes and my statement of faith. I pray that even as you listen and immerse yourselves into the words, you will take that stand and avail yourself to His call upon your life.
